About Wounded Birds
Yaralı Kuşlar (الطيور الجريحة / Wounded Birds) is a 2019 Turkish drama following Meryem and her adopted younger brother Ömer, two orphaned siblings whose lives are shattered when their violent, manipulative father returns from prison, using Ömer as a tool for crime. Fleeing to Istanbul to escape the destruction he leaves behind, Meryem crosses paths with Levent, a man broken by his own tragic loss. Two wounded souls, one powerful love story, and a fight to survive against all odds.
