Lasse Schöne (Danish pronunciation: [ˈlæsə ˈɕøːnə]; born 27 May 1986) is a Danish former professional footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder. A versatile player, he had been deployed as a box-to-box midfielder, holding midfielder and winger in his career. He was also known for his set piece abilities. Schöne spent his entire professional career in the Netherlands, with Heerenveen, De Graafschap, NEC and Ajax, before moving to Genoa in Italy in 2019. During his time in the Netherlands, he scored 85 league goals. He would go on to sign for Heerenveen permanently in February 2021, returning to the Netherlands. Later that year, he returned to NEC, where he played for the latter across four seasons before retiring from football in May 2025. Schöne scored on his full international debut in 2009 and was part of the Danish squad at UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
