Bartha János (6 February 1915 – 7 March 1991), better known as John Bartha, was a Hungarian actor who appeared primarily in spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s and 1970s. He is probably most recognizable in western cinema for his role as the Sheriff who captured Tuco in the 1966 Sergio Leone film, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. From the early 1940s, he performed in rural theater companies and between 1948 and 1956 in theaters in Budapest. He made nearly 100 appearances in film between 1949 and 1981. Bartha died in Budapest on 7 March 1991, at the age of 76.
