The object in the museum catalogue
A digital film still of Danai Gurira, as the character Okoye, on the set of the film Black Panther.
Gurira is sitting cross legged inside of a blue prop space ship vehicle. She is wearing the red and gold Dora Milaje Warrior costume, with leather banding, necklace and arm bands made of stacked gold rings in the style of the Ndebele tribe's idzila, and gold shoulder armor. A kimoyo bead bracelet is visible on her proper left wrist. Her arms are bent and raised slightly in front of her, hands cupped. She is staring straight ahead, towards a suspended film camera and microphone in the foreground of the image.
