He is best known for his portrayal of Bo Duke in the television action comedy series The Dukes of Hazzard (1979–1985), as Clark Kent's father: Jonathan Kent, in the television series Smallville (2001–2011), and Jim Cryer in the television series The Haves and the Have Nots (2013–2021). Alongside his acting career, Schneider has been a country singer since the early 1980s, releasing nine studio albums, a greatest hits package, and eighteen singles.
