The object in the museum catalogue
The blouse has an alternating black and pink vertical striped pattern. Within the stripes there is a repeating diagonal grey stripe. It is part of a matching set. The blouse has a square neckline and elbow length sleeves with a full gathered shoulder and cinches at the wrists. The shirt has an opening down the front, starting at the neckline and continuing to the bottom of the shirt. There are clear colored buttons that are covered by a flap going down the front. The bottom of the blouse is a peplum. The pink and black stripes are diagonal, starting at the two sides of the blouse and coming downward to meet at a point in the middle. The grey alternating lines are also diagonal. The inside of the blouse is lined in black fabric. There is a white rectangular tag inside the shirt at the back of the neck. It has black text which reads [STAVROPOULOS / NEW YORK ATHENS]. The back of the dress has some pleating. The back of the peplum and the back of the collar feature black and pink alternating horizontal stripes with repeating grey diagonal stripes.
