The object in the museum catalogue
Salt, Pepa, and Spinderella are wearing white, red, and black Salt N Pepa t-shirts, white and red hats, ripped jeans, hoop earrings, white and red socks, and white sneakers. In both images Salt and Pepa are in the front. Pepa is on the proper right and Salt is on the Proper left. Spinderella is in the center, up several steps. They are surrounded by four other dancers on several levels of the steps. The three singers and the back-up members are all mid-dance.
There is a white border around the image. It is thicker on the top and bottom and thinner on the two sides. The back of the photograph has light grey text repeated upside down in diagonal lines. There are two yellow post-it notes at the top. There are also several ink smudges and two tears from where tape used to be. There is an inscription by Bill Adler at the bottom, handwritten in blue ink.
