Photographic print of Inspectah Deck with Wu-Tang medallion: Museum Object and Cultural History

The object in the museum catalogue

A black and white photograph of Inspectah Deck holding a Wu-Tang Clan medallion.

Inspectah Deck is out of focus in the background, visible from the chest up to the top of his nose; his head is tilted slightly so only his proper right eye is in the frame. In the foreground is his proper left hand holding a Wu-Tang Clan medallion, a pendant on the necklace he wears. The medallion is a bird in the shape of a W, with the same symbol punched out in a repeating vertical pattern on each wing.

An inscription on the back, handwritten by Bill Adler, identifies the subject and the photographer.
