The object in the museum catalogue
Sometimes people are known by the amount of money they own - perhaps most notably "millionaires." In the early twentieth century, a timber boom created considerable wealth in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and local citizens established a minor league baseball team called "The Millionaires." In 1908, the team won a Tri-State Championship, and this march was composed to honor the occasion. IThe composer was C.D. Henninger. The cover of the sheet music shows a picture of the team.
