The object in the museum catalogue
A black and white photograph the duo Jazzyfatnastees, Tracey Moore and Mercedes Martinez.
The image is captured from behind Moore, showing Moore and Martinez reflected in a mirror. The back of Moore's head and shoulders are out of focus in the foreground of the image. Her reflection is on the proper left side of the photograph, with her head turned towards Martinez. She is wearing a strapless top with a dark print and her braided hair is pulled back into a ponytail. She holds a small makeup brush in her proper right hand. Mercedes Martinez's reflection is in the center of the photograph, turned to face towards Moore. Martinez wears what appears to be a white towel wrapped around her. Behind them, the reflection also shows a wall covered in a light-toned wallpaper with a diagonal striped pattern. The wallpaper is also visible in the far proper right side of the image, outside of the reflection, where a metal towel rack is also partially visible.
The back of the photograph has a signature by the photographer, along with ["Washington, DC 2000" 1/25]. There is also an inscription on the back by Bill Adler, identifying the subjects as [jazzyfatnastees].
