In association football signings this week, on Wednesday English football club Manchester United F.C. announced the signing of Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from German club Borussia Dortmund; and on Thursday Spanish club Málaga CF announced signing striker Sandro Ramírez from FC Barcelona.
The Armenian captain signed a four-year contract with Manchester United, which was the third signing under José Mourinho this season. In his contract, Mhkitarayan has an option to continue with The Red Devils for the fifth season.
Having won the Armenian Footballer of the Year five times since his debut in 2007, Mkhitaryan was voted Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2015–2016. Making 140 appearances for Dortmund since joining in 2013, he has scored 41 goals. Last season he provided 32 assists in all competitions. Mkhitaryan is the nation's top scorer with nineteen goals so far.
Graduated from La Masia, Sandro has scored seven goals for the blaugranas in 32 appearances. He was promoted to the first team in 2014. Sandro has won seven trophies with Barça. In the Copa del Rey, Sandro has scored three goals in twenty appearances.
