NHL Productions: History and Key Facts

NHL Productions is a division of the National Hockey League that produces regional television broadcasts. Established prior to the 2026-27 season, the division currently handles local media production for 5 of the NHL's 32 teams (Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues, Carolina Hurricanes and Anaheim Ducks).

The division was established in 2026, following the dissolution of the Main Street Sports Group, which resulted in the shutdown of it's group of regional sports networks (excluding FanDuel Sports Network West, which was purchased by the Los Angeles Angels of the MLB, and was renamed Angels Broadcast Television). Later in Summer 2026, amid financial issues at Victory+, the division announced that it would take over production of Anaheim Ducks games.

NHL Productions regional broadcasts are distributed via team owned ad-hoc agreements with television providers in each team's home market, streaming via Amazon Prime Video (either at no additional cost to subscribers in-market or as a paid subscription via Prime Video Channels, depending on the team), to terrestrial television stations in the teams' local markets or a combination of them, depending on the team.
