Σέρρες: Story, Cast and Series Facts

Story and premise

Σέρρες is a Greek dramedy series created by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, blending heartfelt emotion with witty humor. The story follows Odysseas, a young gay man who returns to his conservative hometown of Serres after his mother's death, only to live with his estranged father. Together, they navigate grief, healing, and the awkward yet often hilarious process of reconnecting across generations and clashing values.

The series explores themes of LGBTQ+ identity, acceptance, family dynamics, and small-town life; all through a uniquely Greek lens. With sharp writing, tender performances, and Kapoutzidis's signature blend of charm and satire, Serres has quickly gained recognition for its fresh perspective and emotional depth.
