Apparences: Story, Cast and Series Facts

Story and premise

Bordeaux. A cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Belmont, is found dead in a gruesome scene in the parking lot of the clinic where he practiced with his two partners and friends. For Captain Sarah Santoni, this investigation quickly becomes deeply sensitive: she herself underwent reconstructive facial surgery following a violent assault. And the victim, Dr. Belmont… is the very man who operated on her and helped her overcome her trauma. Soon, a prime suspect emerges: Jessica, a young woman partially disfigured by the same surgeon. Her desire to resemble her influencer idols has turned into a tragedy. Meanwhile, alongside the investigation, Gabrielle, a renowned investigative journalist and natural beauty, takes a keen interest in the world of cosmetic surgery. A world that sells dreams, but can also turn into a nightmare.
