Story and premise

During the war-torn era of the Republic of China, Ningcheng was plunged into turmoil. Lu Ye, the Young Chief of the Qingtian Gang, returned from studying abroad to discover that Police Chief Shen Tianbai had killed his father. Concealing his anger, Lu Ye spent a long time interacting with and testing the down-and-out, amnesiac Shen Tianbai, unaware that Shen was actually a lone hero working undercover within the ruthless Shisha Gang. Once sworn enemies, the two gradually developed an inseparable bond as they unraveled hidden clues amid gang conflicts and police corruption. In the end, they put a stop to a deadly wolf-poison experiment that threatened the lives of Ningcheng's residents, brought down the mastermind behind the criminal underworld, saved the people of Ningcheng, and upheld their faith and devotion to their country.
