Story and premise

Dan Snow is on an epic historical journey through one of his favourite countries - Egypt! He visits some of the most extraordinary places on earth, from Luxor to a luxury steamer on the Nile, and from the ancient pyramids to the packed streets of Cairo. 

Alongside the incredible history, Dan navigates boats on the Nile, balloons and even the odd camel! Along the way he'll be exploring the stories of people living along the Nile from past to present, from Agatha Christie and Tutankhamun to the ancient Pharaohs and the modern-day market traders.
