Story and premise

The genius Lin Zhixia is straightforward and reserved, never ever having a close friend. Admitted to Provincial No. 1 Middle School, she meets the sunny top student Jiang Yubai in a problem-solving competition and becomes his desk mate. As a social butterfly, Jiang helps Lin fit in, making friends like Tang Tingting, Duan Qiyan, Shen Fuxuan, and Jin Baihui. In return, Lin helps him with his studies. Starting off as competitors, they grow to support one another and become the best of friends. Together, they assist a classmate being scammed, and participate in club activities and the provincial math competition. Though he catches feelings for her, he keeps them hidden. After Lin is recommended to Fudan University, Jiang plans to confess to her during the graduation trip. Unfortunately, he has to leave because his mother is involved in a fraud case. Amid the obstacles, will the two find their way back to each other?
