Infinite Cycle of Love: Story, Cast and Series Facts

Story and premise

Xiao Ling, the Empress of Li Kingdom, was born into a distinguished military family. For love, she laid down her armor and married Emperor Li Yunxi. Yet after their marriage, she is met only with coldness and suspicion from him. Deeply wounded, Xiao Ling ultimately cuts her hair to repudiate her husband, but is murdered while fleeing the imperial palace. At the moment of her death, she discovers that she has been reborn—returning to one month earlier. Determined to sever all ties with Li Yunxi and change her fate, Xiao Ling struggles to escape their entanglement, only to die again and again due to various unforeseen accidents. Through four cycles of death and rebirth, she gradually realizes that countless misunderstandings stand between her and Li Yunxi. The injuries she believed he inflicted in her previous life were, in truth, acts of secret protection, and the real mastermind behind everything is someone else entirely. After reconciling with Li Yunxi and joining forces with him to uncover the truth and eliminate the true culprit, Xiao Ling resolves to be with him at all costs. However, she then learns that Li Yunxi is gravely ill and nearing death. The rebirths that gave her a second chance were purchased at the price of his life—Li Yunxi burned his own lifespan to light the Lingxi Incense. In the end, fate decrees that only one of them can survive.
