Story and premise
La pobre Clara revolves around Clara Escobar, a woman caught in a gray and submissive life. Marked by the rejection of her own family, Clara is treated practically as a servant by her authoritarian and selfish mother, living isolated from the world, withdrawn and with a destroyed self-esteem .
The break point occurs when Clara makes a trip to Europe. There she meets Dr. Christian Carriel, an affable man who sees beyond her sloppy appearance and extreme shyness. Christian sincerely falls in love with her, teaching her to value herself .Throughout history, Clara goes through a radical transformation: she leaves behind her fears, frees herself from the family yoke and returns to become a confident, elegant and willing woman to fight for her own happiness and love.
