Story and premise

In her previous life, Jiang Song Chu died in an earthquake. The husband she had never truly cared about, Zhou Qi An, instead chose to quietly watch over her until the end. Given a second chance at life, Jiang Song Chu returns to four years earlier, to the time when she and Zhou Qi An had been married for just one year through a whirlwind marriage. This time, she decisively cuts ties with the charming but shallow Lin Tian and reunites with Zhou Qi An. Jiang Song Chu soon confirms that Zhou Qi An has not been reborn like she has. Armed with the experiences of her previous life, she quickly realizes that beneath Zhou Qi An's serious and proper exterior as a university professor lies feelings for her that he has harbored for a long time. However, his overly restrained and principled nature was precisely why she noticed nothing in her last life. Determined not to repeat her regrets, Jiang Song Chu makes up her mind: in this life, she will take the initiative, draw closer to Zhou Qi An, and win his heart.
