Story and premise

Having based his own reputation of a passion for quality produce, Rick Stein's gastronomic tour finds him searching for those who put taste and quality above all else. With their help he creates dishes that showcase the truly great food of Britain. From crabs in Cornwall to haggis in Scotland's Highlands, Rich Stein and his dog, Chalky, travel the length and breadth of the country to unearth Britain's best kept secrets - homegrown, traditional and local culinary delights. Along the way he meets cheese makers, ham curers, brewers, asparagus growers, pie makers and man other amazing characters who are dedicated to providing the best produce and ingredients.
