Story and premise

In Huanxi City, Fang Haowen's pen is the cheapest weapon there is. It cannot produce bestsellers, yet it can cut through the absurdity of reality. Recognized by businesswoman Jin Furong, he rises to fame overnight, only to crash back down after turning down her love. A drunken fall from a building and a staged "suicide" farce push him into the eye of the internet storm, as his former agent eggs him on to "trade death for sales" and regain viral fame. Then obsessive fan Bie Fan shows up and wrecks the whole carefully scripted livestream scam. That's how the "Jiong Tu" duo comes to be: a has-been writer and his delusional young fan launching into a wild, can't-live-can't-die escapade.
