Story and premise

Inspired by the remarkable achievements of China's Lunar Exploration Program, this story follows Wu Wei, a young man who has dreamed of working in aerospace since childhood. Determined to join the Flight Control Center, he is devastated when he fails the interview and is instead assigned to work in the archives. Meanwhile, Ying Ziqi, a brilliant and aloof top student with whom Wu Wei shares a long-standing rivalry, successfully secures a position in the Flight Control Center. While working in the archives, Wu Wei gains valuable experience and matures into a dependable professional. Recognizing his potential, mentor Qin Bojun personally selects him to join the Flight Control Department's elite "Mu Xing" team, where he reunites with Ying Ziqi as a teammate. Initially clashing at every turn, the two young talents gradually overcome their differences through a series of high-stakes missions, including the International Space Orbit Competition and the Haoyue-4 and Haoyue-5 lunar projects. As they learn to trust and support one another, Wu Wei and Ying Ziqi transform from rivals into inseparable partners. In a dramatic final challenge, they defy the odds, lead their team to success, and help China accomplish the historic mission of bringing lunar soil samples back to Earth.
