Alecko Eskandarian (Armenian: Ալեքկո Էսկանդարյան, Persian: آلککو اسکندریان) (born July 9, 1982) is an American retired soccer player. A 2004 and 2006 MLS All-Star, Eskandarian notably scored two goals in the 2004 MLS Cup where he was named the match MVP after helping to win the championship for D.C. United. The son of Andranik Eskandarian, a former player of the Iranian national team and the Taj team, Alecko Eskandarian represented the United States in their youth and senior national teams. He is a former assistant coach for New York Cosmos and head coach for their reserve team, New York Cosmos B.
