A sepia toned photographic postcard of two men posing with a horse. The men are depicted from the hips up, standing on the left and right sides of the image. A white horse stands in profile behind them, facing the right edge. The man on the left is wearing dark trousers, a medium-toned long sleeve shirt, white suspenders, a neck kerchief, and a wide brimmed hat. He is standing in profile, facing the right side of the image, with his head turned slightly towards the viewer. He holds a rifle in both hands, pointing upwards. The man on the right is in three quarter pose, with his body turned slightly toward the horse and his face turned towards the viewer. He holds the reins of the horse, just under the curb strap. Most of the horse’s profile is visible. Its white with a long white mane. In the background is a painted photography backdrop depicting trees and Native American tipis on a shoreline. The reverse is white with black ink text. It is in a landscape orientation. The text [POST CARD] is written in outlined letters across the top. Below are sections for [CORRESPONDENCE] on the left, and [ADDRESS] on the right divided by a short vertical line down the center. At the top right is an AZO stamp box. There is an upside down orange circular sticker on the right edge with black handwritten text that reads [899]. There are two sets of tallies in the correspondence and address section fields.
