The drawing depicts a standing woman wearing a bronze-toned knee-length sheath dress with full-length sleeves. The dress has a wrap front bodice that is draped across and tied at the woman's left front side waist. She wears dark brown high-heeled shoes. The woman and her clothing are outlined in graphite with watercolor and unidentified pigment shading. The stamp for the United Scenic Artists Local 829 is in black ink in the lower left facing corner, with Dearing's signature in black ink below the stamp.
