These Pokémon playing cards represent several elements integral to the trading card game. The types and quantities are: 12 Electric (yellow, lightning bolt), 14 Fighting (orange, closed fist), 27 Fire (red, flame), 25 water (blue, droplet), 1 normal (grey, star), 16 grass (green, leaf), 20 psychic (purple, open eye). These cards were used in conjunction with "Pokémon" and "Trainer" type cards to play the game. The lower left corner of each card credits the illustrator responsible for each image. The lower right corner indicates the designated number of each card out to the total number of cards the deck assortment contains. (i.e. 48/62) The back of each card displays a pokéball with the words Pokémon written on the top and bottom of the card. The Pokémon logo is trademarked.
