Boris Erasmus Palmer (born 28 May 1972) is a German independent politician and former member of the Green Party. He has been mayor of Tübingen since January 2007. From March 2001 to May 2007, he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag, the State parliament in Stuttgart. Palmer's controversial and polarizing positions put forward with great self-conviction led to the withdrawal of support from his party in the 2020 municipal elections, and a process to oust him from party ranks was started the following year.
