Abner Dunson is the president of Adarco Advanced Robotics Company who established photojournalist awards in memory of his son Davey Dunson who died during Desert Storm. Adarco created the Annex suit and learned how to create instant artificial limbs from the bio-regenerative energy well or BREW for short. Alex Ellis was the man in the Annex suit and Abner Dunson wanted to erase his memory and replace it with the memory of his son, Davey Dunson. Annex confronted Abner Dunson at the awards ceremony where members of the Daily Bugle were present like Jonah Jameson and Peter Parker 's wife, Mary Jane . Spider-Man and Dr. Hillman Barto worked together to shut down the schematic force grid. Abner Dunson was apprehended and Alex Ellis retained his memory. Creation Abner Dunson was created by Jack Harris and Tom Lyle in 1993 and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual # 27.
