Who is Alberich?
Alberich was a legendary sorcerer in the myths of the Merovingian dynasty of the Franks between the V and VIII century, and whose name means "King of the Elves" (elbe "elves" Reix, rex "king"). It is also known as the "king of the dwarves." In the Nibelungenlied is a dwarf who guards the treasure of the Nibelungen, but is overcome by Siegfried.
