Who is Algernon Wells?

Origin Born and raised in an alternate London , Algernon Wells sought employment as a psychic detective. At some point he was approached in a dream by Abel , and became the first patron of the House of Mystery . Creation Algernon Wells was created by Lilah Sturges and Luca Rossi . He made his first appearance in House of Mystery #1 . Major Story Arcs House of Mystery Becoming a regular at the House, Algernon is approached by the Pair of the Conception to act as their agent within the House. In exchange they provide him with something, possibly related to his daughter Constance . Acting under constant threat by the Pair, he makes regular reports on Fig Keele and the goings-on in the House. He is in the House when it and its occupants become entrapped in the City in the Space Between , and is one of the few patrons to survive and escape.
