Asp is a Marvel comic book character, the alter ego of Cleopatra Nefertiti, with over 169 comic issue appearances. Asp has the ability to discharge "venom bolts" that can paralyze or even kill someone instantly. She has been a founding member of both the Serpent Society and B.A.D Girls Inc.

Who is Asp?

Origin Cleopatra Nefertiti; Asp The woman going by the name Cleopatra Nefertiti, known as Asp, was born in Tanta, Egypt. Cleo was living as an exotic dancer and making quite a reputation for herself. She is a mutant whose ability to generate bio-energy via kinetic movement, store it, and then project paralyzing bio-energy blasts. A side effect of her powers is that she continuously emits low level bio-radiation, slowly poisoning those who are around her for long periods of time. Intrigued by Asp the villain Sidewinder contacted her and offered a place on his newly created team of villains for hire the Serpent Society. Asp would become one of the founding members of the Serpent Society . While in the group she met members Black Mamba and Diamondback and the three women became close friends building a strong professional and personal relationship. Creation Asp was created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary in 1985 and first appeared in Captain America # 310.
