Who is Bataar?
Origin A Qobusun, Bataar lived in Sharyngol, in the province of Nirai Darkhan-uul, in a repressive and strict werewolf society. His wife and daughter both died during a mortar attack by the neighbouring Sinti, with whom the Qobusun were at war. Creation Bataar was created by Lilah Sturges and Gilbert Hernandez . He made his first appearance in House of Mystery #14 . Major Story Arcs House of Mystery Bataar takes in the lost Rina , and treats her as his daughter and, occasionally, as his wife. When he is approached by her paramour Sukh's father for a dowry, he angrily denounces her as a whore. Powers and Abilities Bataar is a werewolf, and as such is capable of shifting between her human and wolf forms; this shift appears to be largely involuntary, but occurs at times of heightened emotion rather than in relation to the Moon or any outside stimulus.
