Who is Bela?

Bela first appears as an initiate to Marvin Hoffman's Brotherhood, who has to prove himself by kidnapping and torturing Malon Reeves who happens to be the daughter of Hoffman's rival, Malcolm Reeves . Bela was charged with the duty of gleaning information from Malon about the location of her father, so that Hoffman could destroy him. Malon is soon rescued by Malcolm's own team, and Malcolm retaliates by burning both of Bela's hands off. To this day he deals with this disability and is presumed (though unconfirmed) depowered post M-Day, along with 98% of the world's mutant population.
