Beppo is a DC Comics comic book character, with over 114 comic issue appearances. Beppo is Superman's pet monkey who is native to Krypton. He has powers similar to Superman, and joined the Legion of Super-Pets. Like most monkeys he is naturally mischievous.

Who is Beppo?

Creation Beppo the Super-Monkey was created in 1959 by Otto Binder and George Papp. Origin Beppo was a test animal of the Kryptonian scientist Jor-El who stowed away in the infant Kal-El's rocket ship and was brought to Earth. Upon his arrival on the planet he immediately took off unnoticed by the Kents when they found the ship. Beppo lived on his own on Earth for some time until he discovered Kal-El and returned. Years later Beppo met Krypto the Super-Dog and Streaky the Super-Cat eventually those three teamed with Comet the Super-Horse and Proty II and became the Legion of Super-Pets . Powers and Abilities Beppo possesses the same powers and abilities as a Kryptonian like Superman. Super strength flight invulnerability x-ray vision heat vision.
