Overview Bernd Rechts is an alias used by a member of the First named Rehked. He was sent by House Dexter in order to study the Sigil-Bearer , Ethan of Avalon. Rehked helps the people of Avalon by becoming a general of one of the armies that protects Ethan. However, he is soon confronted and killed by the Sinister First, Tsansuelle , when she opts to take over the planet and rule as a goddess, rather than a pawn on their home planet of Elysia. Rehked's name is derived from the word wretched and is supposed to govern his personality.
