Who is Byzantium Mack?
Origin As a young man, Byzantium Mack was drafted into the US Army to fight in Vietnam . During a night when he was supposed to be off patrol he sampled some LSD sent to him by his brother. Shortly thereafter he was forced to go out on patrol, still tripping. In the jungle he fled from the fighting and encountered a mystic who took him on as an apprentice, mistakenly believing that Byzantium was enlightened, when he was in fact simply out of his mind on drugs. He trained with the man for five years, which actually took only an instant. After his training concluded the old mystic was shot in the face by one of his fellow soldiers. Soon after, Mack became a full-time sorcerer. Creation Byzantium Mack was created by Lilah Sturges and Luca Rossi .
