Who is Calumet?
Calumet is one of the Native American gods similar to the gods of Asgard and Olympus . When the trickster-god Nanabozho began his war on white men, he joined him, along with Hotamintanio , the war god. They tried to recruit Owayaodata to their cause but he refused. In retaliation, they attacked Red Wolf . The attack was sensed through the mystical dreams of Black Crow and Doctor Strange . The heroes reminded the three Native American Gods that they were no better than the white men who had slaughtered their worshipers. Humiliated, Calumet, Hotamintanio and Nanabozho backed off from their attack on mortals. Creation Calumet was created by Fabian Nicieza and Ron Lim in 1991 and first appeared in Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme # 25.
