Who is Canis Minor?

Canis Minor, although the son of agreat warrior, wanted nothing to do with war. While he trained diligently with his father, he spent all of his free time dreaming of and creating art. Steppenwolf attempted to train him, at first having no luch. In the end, he was able to convince him to think of war as an art-form and the son's skills quickly came to eclipse the father. While Steppenwolf and Canis Major were pleased, mighty Darkseid was not. Prefering the father to the son, he ordered that Canis Minor be killed. As his word is law, so it was done.
