Who is Casey Krinsky?
Casey has a crush on Firestorm , once he starts showing up in the Detroit area. And like any young woman with a crush, she will kill (and gladly!) to get at her man. She does exactly that, murdering both her roommate and a few hapless motorists just to get the attention of the patrolling Firestorm. When he goes to investigate, Jason immediately understands that something is amiss, and it doesn't take long before the two begin a knock-down, drag-out fight. Casey uses her ability to absorb the properties of the things she touches to become razor-sharp crystal and various other harmful materials before eventually stealing Firestorm's density-shifting ability (which has seemingly since returned). He turns her into a rock-like substance using his atomic manipulation powers, but something goes horribly wrong, and she becomes even less human than before. Firestorm transfers the statue-like body of Casey Krinsky to S.T.A.R. Labs , where they are researching and attempting to help her.
