Major Story Arcs Cissy Ironwood was the daughter of a Empire State University professor. She began dating Parker, then also an ESU student. While walking home through Central Park from a date to a play, Parker and Ironwood were attacked by a werewolf. Trying to escape the creature, she was tackled forcefully, sustaining a concussion. Peter Parker drove the werewolf away and took Ironwood to Roosevelt Hospital. After Parker, as Spider-Man, discovered that the werewolf was actually Doctor Strange cursed by an enemy, he found himself in battle with the transformed Master of the Mystic Arts. The battle carried into Roosevelt Hospital, where they passed through Cissy Ironwood's room.
