Creation The Crimson Daffodil was created by Terry Austin and Mike Vosburg in 1989 and first appeared in the Mutant Misadventures of Cloak and Dagger # 7. Powers and Abilities Crimson Daffodil is a mutant who has the ability to ease others and persuade them to do as he says and has an empathic ability to read the emotions of others. He could dampen the circuits to the fear center of the brain and reroute the signals to the pleasure center rendering most people under his influence quite co-operative. He has also shown an ability to acquire powers of others, including a display of superhuman strength. He later developed a secondary mutation in the form of a superhuman burrowing ability and changed his identity to "The Wombat" wearing a human-sized, head-to-toe wombat costume.
