Who is Doctor Eclipse?

Master Darque empowered Bender with Dark Power to seek revenge on Solar. A foe of Solar, Man of the Atom who's name is Fred Bender. Essentially Bender was endowed with the energies of the Dark Power by Master Darque and became in effect an evil version of Solar with great powers, including shape shifting, immortality, reality manipulation, soul absorption and teleportation. Consumed with hatred for for Phil Seleski, Eclipse has proven to be a forced to be reckoned with inside of the Valiant Universe. I would consider him to be Valiant's version of a dark Dr. Manhattan or perhaps even Monarch.
