Dr. Jaime Munoz was a molecular biologist living in Alexandria, Virginia. He discovered ingots of adamantium held in federal storage. Attached to them were medical records and tissue samples from a number of mutants, possibly involved in experimentation. The sample labeled "Logan X #23" was of particular interest, demonstrating tissue self-generation. He made public presentations of the subject. Zoe Culloden recorded one and delivered the recording to Wolverine, assuming he might be interested. Wolverine was sarcastic about Munoz's assumptions the mutants were volunteers and Munoz's efforts to locate them for interviewing.
