Ed Garner is the man that started the Unlimited Class Wrestling Foundation . Garner wanted his wrestling federation to be comprised of super-powered wrestlers and was thrilled that the Thing wanted to join. Garner had all his wrestlers sign a waiver that stated that the UCWF was not legally responsible for their health. His first star match was the Thing versus Demolition Dunphy . Garner wanted Dunphy to throw the match because he wanted his federation to succeed. The Thing overheard the conversation and threatened to leave Garner's federation if he planned to fix the fight. Dunphy didn't want to throw the match either and promised to give the Thing a fair fight. The Thing told Garner that the UCWF will work and become a success because it's legit and the no-holds-barred wrestling was on the up and up.
