Origin Richard Beren was an actor in L.A. who couldn't get any work then he was contacted by Tim Drake to secretly play the role of Edward Drake, Tim's long lost uncle and new caretaker. Major Story Arc Robin: To Kill a Bird Richard acting as Edward Drake flies in to Gotham aboard Singapore Air. His first act is to take Tim out of enrollment at John Wayne High School. Soon afterward Richard is approached by Bruce Wayne who knows Richard's secret. Richard panics and flies Gotham. He tries to call Tim, but is only able to leave a message that Bruce Wayne stopped by and he knows.
