Who is Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan?

Origin Elaida was born and raised in Murandy, the youngest daughter of a minor noble house. She was sent to the White Tower at Tar Valon in her youth and showed great aptitude for the power, being raised to Accepted after only three years of study. Creation Elaida was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time , making her first appearance in the first book of the series, The Eye of the World . She made her first appearance in comics in Wheel of Time: New Spring #3, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Mike Miller . Major Story Arcs New Spring An Accepted of the Tower, Elaida takes an instant dislike to two new Novices, Moiraine Damodred and Siuan Sanche , both of whom rival her in terms of power. She treats the two girls very poorly, and is much harsher with them than is considered proper when training Novices. Eventually her harsh treatment causes the Mistress of Novices to step in and threaten her with a penance. Because of this intercession she develops and nurtures an intense hatred for Siuan and Moiraine.
