Origin Faora Hu-Ul The Kryptonian woman Faora Hu-Ul was notoriously known for her hatred for men. Part of the military, she served at a concentration camp where she tortured and murdered many men on her home planet Krypton . After she was finally caught, Faora was judged and sentenced to 300 Kryptonian Years in The Phantom Zone for her numerous crimes against the Kryptonian people. Creation Issue #471 Faora Hu-UI was created by Cary Bates and Curt Swan , and her first appearance came in Action Comics #471 , which was released in June, 1977. Character Evolution Silver Age / Earth-One Earth-One - Faora Hu-UI While imprisoned, Faora would find herself plotting ways of getting her hands on other male Kryptonians including The Man of Steel himself Superman . After escaping The Phantom Zone, Faora would go after Superman and in their first encounter in battle, she forces him to flee. Modern Age / Pocket Universe Pocket Universe - Zaora After the Crisis on Infinite Earths , Faora appearing in a pocket universe created by the Cosmic Entity known as the Time Trapper . Within the pocket universe, Faora was known as Zaora and she was accompanied by fellow Kryptonians General Zod and Quex-Ul .
