Origin Gabrielle Haller was a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp in Germany . During her time at the camp, the secret location of a hidden stash of gold was implanted in her mind. A result of this was a mental imbalance that was diagnosed as schizophrenia by some yet it caused Gabrielle to go into a catatonic coma. Creation Gabrielle Haller was created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum and first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men Vol.1 issue 161 (1982). Major Story Arcs After the War After the war, Gabrielle was hospitalized in Israel . It was here that a young Charles Xavier first met her. Charles was a mutant with telepathic abilities. He used his powers to help cure Gabrielle.
