Origin Grunt was originally Arnold Coltrane, a base level mercenary at MyS-Tech . He died in a firefight atop MyS-Tech's base of operations and taken to the Shadow Riders ' base by Vorin . Vorin brought Arnold back to life through mystical science powers and initiated him into the Shadow Riders, a unit devoted to overthrowing MyS-Tech. Creation Created by writers John Freeman and and Brian Williamson and drawn by Ross Dearsley .
